X files movie: Tonight's the night
As I'm still showing some withdrawal signs from my X files movie marathon, I spent last night watching interviews on Youtube and I watched the first X files movie "Fight the future" again (I couldn't decide on any favourite episode).
I'm a bit scared that I've gotten my hopes up too high, then again I'm an X-phile, moreover I'm an X-files shipper, so I don't really see how the movie could possibly dissapoint me. Besides, critics don't seem to like it that much which is usually a very good sign that I will like the movie :-) I want to believe it will be good.
Wishing it was 8pm...

X files movie marathon: rehab
Release
That is one creepy student Scully has in her class. So now that Mulder and Scully aren't doing any background checks anymore anyone can get into the FBI.
I'm finding it hard to believe Reyes wouldn't have confronted Follmer if she suspected him of taking bribes, she seems way to open for that.
Follmer sure looks insane after he shot Rigali.
At least Doggett didn't have to wait as long as Mulder to get some closure.
Sunshine days
Doggett whips out his knife again, been a while since he last did that.
Doggett's reaction to Reyes talking about the Brady Bunch house and taking a picture was hilarious.
Someone really likes the Looney Tunes on the X-files, Reyes mentions Wile E Coyote (3rd time) and Daffy Duck.
When did Scully get such a hip microphone to do autopsies? And why do they have a webcam in an autopsy bay?
Scully wants Oliver as a pet lab rat. And she and Reyes can't stop smiling while Skinner is twirling around in the air.
The truth
There are a lot of dead people walking around this double episode. Which I found rather annoying. How long has Mulder been seeing dead people anyway?
You know something's wrong Mulder starts using first names instead of last names.
Why exactly did Skinner tell Mulder about William? Did he think Scully went through enough already?
Once again Mulder is making decisions for Scully in not telling her what he found out. Go ahead Mulder, keep some more secrets. Still don't understand why Mulder won't tell anyone what he knows. It's not like anyone ever listens to what he has to say.
Mule headed Mulder is still hung up with the truth and once again gets them in trouble.
Even the dead Gunmen know Mulder is going to get them killed.
Mulder really underestimated Scully saying he was afraid the truth would crush her spirit. I mean after everything she's been through.
Now I remember why I forgot most of this episode and only remembered the shippy moments, all the rest is just a summary of 9 seasons of the X-Files.

X files movie marathon: the end is near
At the moment I'm trying really hard to stay away from the forums, I don't want to read any spoilers concerning the new X files movie I want to believe. Though I have to say, after what I've seen of season 9 I don't even care about the movie's plot, as long as there's lots of Mulder and Scully in it.
Improbable
Finally a funny episode which is somewhat funny.
Apparently Reyes is a bigger math geek than Scully.
Burt Reynolds sure loves checkers. Considering Scully is trying to shoot her way out, I take it she doesn't. Actually, Scully's behaviour while they're locked up in the garage is quite funny.
As was Reynolds dancing while Reyes and Scully were playing checkers.
Why didn't Reyes shoot her gun to signal Scully when the serial killer got hold of her?
Could've done without the singing at the end though.
Scary monsters
Agent Harrison, the accountant from Alone, is back. This must be the first time Scully loses her appetite over crime scene photos.
Why didn't Harrison go to Doggett immediately, why ask Scully first?
Scully is hilarious when that guy walks in with the dead cat in the middle of the night.
She then does an autopsy on the cat with kitchen utensils wearing an apron that reads "something smells goo-ood". Haven't noticed this before, but Mulder's fishtank is in her living room/kitchen.
Why is Reyes digging in the sheriff's corpse with a wooden spoon? What kind of a research method is that?
Everyone on the X-files (except for Scully) seems to be doing a lot of bluescreen falling the last two seasons (Mulder, Mulder and Doggett, Reyes and now Doggett again).
Jump the shark
Morris Fletcher is back. I think this episode probably would've made more sense if you've seen the Lone Gunmen series. Not that that would make this episode any better.
Why didn't they try to knock the bad guy out and then lock him up?
X-Files without the Lone Gunmen is like James Bond without Q and Moneypenny.
William
Scully sings joy to the world again, this time to William.
I thought Doggett saying that Miller was Mulder was really far fetched. Not the kind of thing you'd expect from Doggett.
This must be the first time Scully doesn't believe in science, in the DNA saying Miller is Mulder.
Some FBI agents they are, they didn't even bother to search Miller's pockets, otherwise they would've found the syringe.
I was never a big fan of the whole William storyline. Scully giving him up to keep him safe doesn't make any sense to me. After everything they have discovered about aliens and conspiracies, how can she honestly believe William would be safer somewhere else? That they wouldn't somehow find him?

X files movie marathon: not impressed
At first I thought it was due to chronic lack of Mulder, but I thought there were quite a few really good Mulderless episodes in the 8th season, so that can't be it. Oh well, can't wait to see the movie :-)
Lord of the flies
Anything inspired by Jackass can't be good.
Rocky, the Bambi substitute, hits on Scully. She doesn't look as impressed with him as Mulder was with Bambi though.
I'm guessing this was supposed to be a light and funny monster of the week episode...but I'm not sure. Doggett mentioning spanish fly and the look he got from Reyes was funny though. As for Rocky, he would've been a lot funnier if Mulder had been around.Scully does CPR on Rocky who is wide awake. Reyes looks a bit disgusted at that. You'd think Scully as a doctor would know when someone 's faking it. I suppose that could've been funny if the rest of the episode had been funnier.
Natalie drives a VW bug, how fitting.
Trust no 1
This episode actually starts out looking like one of those shippervideos on Youtube (which take up way too much of my time).
In case you want to send our 2 favourite FBI agents an email:
trust_no1@mail.com
queequeg0925@hotmail.com
I wonder if an X-phile would've actually started using these email-adresses...
More Apple computers, I take it Steve Jobs is an X-phile as well.
Why does Scully ask the woman on the street if she needs to call the police? In case you've forgotten Scully, you're a federal agent, just whip out your badge and gun...
Mulder and Scully have always taken the "trust no one" motto with a grain of salt (especially Mulder), but seriously, who lets a complete stranger you met on the street bunk on your couch.
If they know Scully sent Mulder an email, why don't they just lure Mulder out posing as Scully? They faked Scully's mails for 6 months in En ami.
What's on the inside of Scully's right wrist when she's on the phone with that supersoldier? BTW, Scully's phone has quite a battery life.
Scully's reflexes are pretty pathetic these days when agent Michaud, I'm sorry, "dark shadowy big brother supersoldier" starts waving a gun around. Good thing Reyes was there.
She still sends Mulder e-mails after she knows she's being watched?
John Doe
Doggett has a nickname "one shoe". Granted it's not as impressive as "Spooky Mulder" or "Hurricane Scully".
Doggett lost his memory, at least he didn't voluntarily let some doctor drill a hole in his head like Mulder once did. God, I really miss Mulder...
Reyes looks pretty pissed. Even more so when she started speaking Spanish.
She then lies to the Mexican police saying Doggett ran out on her and their kids. That was pretty funny, wish there would've been someone else around to hear her telling lies like that.
Reyes and Doggett get caught in a Mexican shootout and Skinner saves the day.
Doggett ends up looking a bit like one of the zombies from Millenium.
Hellbound
Scully seems to find a babysitter for William a lot easier than a dogsitter for Queequeg. Considering Queequeg untimely end, that's probably a good thing.
Reyes looks really hurt when Doggett called her out of the interviewing room questioning her methods. He should know about her "feelings" by now shouldn't he?
Somewhere halfway through I fell asleep again. But I was dreaming about zombies so I wasn't that far off with the storyline.

that. After 2 hours of going through my entire dvd and cd collection I still
haven't found it. Tomorrow I'll be borrowing that DVD from a friend so I'll
skip ahead for now and continue with some thoughts on the 3rd DVD.
Provenance
Ugh, another mytharc.
That was quite an explosion for a small bike like that. They're basically rehashing the 6th extinction trilogy.
Follmer threatens Doggett to stay out of the case, Doggett doesn't look too impressed though and breaks into Skinner's office to steal evidence, very Mulderesque (yes, that's a word now).
Another spacecraft, this time in Canada. I'm sure the accounting department of the X-files will be glad about the limited travel expenses.
Scully doesn't even knock on Reyes' door, just walks in. Makes sense I suppose, why would you lock your door in the middle of the night while you have stolen evidence sprawled all over the floor.
Scully's mother gets smacked around, which is a first. I think I now understand where Scully got her "Hurricane Scully" nickname. We all know she's a force to be reckoned with when Mulder's in danger, but threaten that little baby and she goes ballistic.
A cult threatening Mulder's life, is that really the best the writer's could come up with? And then saying Mulder's dead, I'm losing track of how many times he's "died".
When Scully gives William to the Gunmen, Langly tells her the baby is in good hands after which Byers quickly takes William from Langly. That crazy woman certainly is a better shot than Doggett.
Providence
Scully doesn't seem too upset about Mulder being dead, maybe she doesn't believe it, or she's getting just as tired of hearing that as I am. And what's with Skinner not believing in conspiracies in the FBI?
Scully's acting completely irrational. Even Reyes thinks Scully's a bit foolish not telling the FBI about the woman. Usually when people start believing their child is some sort of Messiah they get locked up in a padded room. Good thing Reyes can talk some sense into Scully.
Scully knows the artifact has healing powers from 6th extinction trilogy doesn't she?
Now all of a sudden Mulder's not dead? Where do these people get their information from?Wiliam has his very own remote controlled spacecraft, how cool is that.
Scully and Reyes see the spacecraft fly away, and this time Scully's conscious.
Audrey Pauley
1013 really can't deal with romance, they should've just followed through with the Reyes Doggett conversation.
Reyes ends up in a freaky floating hospital. I'm guessing Reyes was the only one working on the X-files who hadn't been dead yet. She had some catching up to do.
I was a bit surprised at how easy Scully was willing to give up on Reyes despite a nearly complete lack of injuries.
So doctor Death walks around with ready to go lethal injections in his pocket, just in case someone annoys him?
Reyes takes skydiving to a whole new level.
The actress who plays Audrey dies in every X-Files episode she's in.
Oh just kiss already.
Underneath
Watch out for the cable guy.
How did the cops get there that quickly?
You know if you pray and people die, maybe you should stop praying...
Doggett lapses into Scully's old habits, not believing what he sees.

X files movie marathon: 9th season
Started watching season 9 in my X files movie marathon last night. The only good thing about a mostly Mulderless season is that I won't have to hear Doggett say Mulder that much.
Nothing important happened today I and II
48 hours later, Mulder sure has a lot of bags ready at Scully's. I'm assuming
he was living there full-time. It's also not quite clear to me how you can go
on the run with that many bags.
AD Brad Follmer is introduced and Reyes doesn't seem to happy with Brad's
greeting. He's a bit presumptuous after 2 years if you ask me.
I hope that 's not drinking water Shannon's swimming in.
Scully really didn't want to have that conversation with Doggett, who sure is having a bad day with everybody telling him to drop the case. Reyes on the other hand is hilarious during the Skinner Doggett conversation only movng her eyes, like watching a tennis game.
Sleepy Scully really is out like a light if she didn't hear that creaking mere seconds after she hit the bed.
Reyes has some very impressive "feelings" to look for a pencil in the ceiling.
Reyes is once again impressed with Scully and assumes Scully's afraid
something's wrong with her baby. Scully must be losing her touch though, how
do you miss something as obvious as those fingerprint bruises on the ankle, don't
they normally examine the outside first during an autopsy, before they start
slicing and dicing?
Frohike seemed pleasantly surprised to see Reyes at the door, maybe he finally gave up on Scully.
Doggett whips out his knife again. Those files are going to be pretty useless after being in the water, and why don't they float upwards when Doggett's being pulled down and obviously not
holding them?
I'm a bit confused, who stuck his hand through Shannon and let Doggett go on his merry way? the headless "corpse" of Knowle Rohrer?
And why is Doggett holding Scully's hand when they're trying to get out of the ship? Can't she run by herself anymore now that she's a mommy?
So Kersh is in fact a good guy and told Mulder his life was in danger (what else is new)? Does make sense that Scully would be the only person able to convince Mulder to go.
Daemonicus
Playing boardgames is just as dangerous as going to the toilet on the X-files, abductions during stratego, muder-suicides during scrabble. And they say TV and videogames lead to violence...
I had the feeling there was something wrong with Reyes, then I realised she only started smiling after about 10 minutes.
So how much time has passed since William was born now that Scully is teaching
at the academy?
Kobold, very fitting name for a daemonic looney.
Why are the crazy guys always spot on with their psycho babble? And why does Doggett keep standing in front of Kobold when he's giving his best exorcist performance? You'd think he would move backwards after the first stream of projectile vomiting hit him...some reflexes you got there Agent Doggett...
4-D
Very confusing beginning and it just keeps getting weirder. I actually like this storyline, a parallel universe is a first for the X-Files (though there are plenty of fanfics out there about this).
Scully tries to stop the interrogation of Reyes. I guess they've gotten close after delivering William in the middle of nowhere surrounded by supersoldiers.
I'm surprised Scully, the navy-brat linguist, didn't pick up on the morse-code thingy.
Pretty funny to hear Reyes talking about "her" Doggett.
Really loved Skinner during the interrogation of Lukesh. I'm glad he's got more to do these days than to look annoyed at his subordinates and tell them he can't help cause he's compromised.
Wow, Reyes really knows how to stay cool when Lukesh was talking to her at the police station. Yet not a cigarette in sight afterwards, did she kick the habit, cause I haven't seen her smoke for 4 episodes?
Reyes shaving Doggett at the hospital was really sweet. Although the following conversation wasn't.
Nice shot from Follmer, he didn't even hesitate, which considering Reyes' situation was probably a good thing.

X files movie marathon: 1 season to go
Pretty neat idea of evil jumping bodies.
Eversmiling Reyes stops smiling when she tastes the gum she's trying out to help her quit smoking.
Scully waiting for the pizza man to jump into the shower. Funny conversation apart from the we just work together part...I suppose he's just joking as they don't really work together anymore.
Makes me wonder though, does Scully eat pizza in the shower if she wasn't planning on anything with the pizza man himself?
Very nice scene where they both look really relaxed and enjoying eachother's company, untill Scully's rushed of to the hospital that is. Still wondering how Doggett got to the hospital before Mulder and Scully.
I'm pretty sure Scully was expecting Mulder when she woke up in the hospital instead of Doggett.
Mulder doesn't believe Reyes (that's a first, Mulder not believing). That little look/move he made with his head after Reyes asked him whether that was why he didn't want to help Doggett was hilarious.
Why does Mulder ask Scully if she's awake, he's always waited by her bedside if she was asleep.
Oh and the look on Mulder's face when he touches Scully's belly, pure wonder and happiness.
Jeb Larold Dukes, and I thought Knowle Rohrer was a strange name.
Doggett is spending way too much time sneaking up to Scully's bedside. Even to Mulder's liking. Just look at Mulder's stance after he leads Doggett out of Scully's room, arms crossed, legs spread, right in front of Scully's door.
What hospital were they in anyway, cause that doctor sure gave up on Jeb real quick.
I think I missed most of the story with all the shippy parts, but I'm beyond caring, Mulder and Scully looked way too happy this episode.
Vienen
The black oil is back.
Scully doesn't seem too happy to see Mulder in the office.
Doggett proves to Mulder he's read the x-files, but Mulder still doesn't trust him (or is he just jealous).
Just how dumb is Mulder in thinking Kersh would send out Scully to an oil rig?
And how do you "accidently" find something in someone's brain Scully? Skinner's reaction when the black oil flowed out of the corpse was once again adorable. He really is putty when it comes to Scully's wellbeing.
Sully scolds Mulder for not following orders while she did an unauthorised authopsy herself was pretty funny. And Mulder once again implies Scully's baby is his.
Mulder takes the blame for what happened and is basically handing over the X-Files to Doggett. Of course the fact that he's out of th FBI might have something to do with it too.
Alone
While Scully is packing to go on maternity leave, she finds the two coins from Dreamland and Queequeg 's nametag. Scully hugs Doggett, but she looks a bit uncomfortable doing that.
Doggett is actually wearing a glove to touch the goo, did they change the guidelines after Mulder got kicked out of the FBI?
Mulder takes Scully to a lamaze class and admits to watching a lot of Oprah. He looks a bit jealous of Doggett getting Scully's attention. And he really isn't happy to find Scully doing an autopsy.
While Mulder is impersonating Kersh, Doggett is stuck in a tunnel with a rookie accountant, both blind as a bat.
Mulder and Scully end up giving the Apollo keychain to agent Harrison.
I think the writers have been reading to many X-phile forums for the end. It was pretty funny to to see Mulder and Scully arguing like an old married couple on whether or not it was a spaceship in Antarctica.
Essence
Scully's mother is finally back, helping out with the baby shower and hiring help for Scully. Help which isn't all that helpful, changing Scully's pills.
So why exactly does Scully need help from Lizzy? Isn't Mulder unemployed with a lot of time on his hands? Of course he's not that good at doing general household tasks (or even plumbing) looking at his apartment.
Mulder is up to his old tricks again, breaking and entering...and getting caught.
Billy Miles is back cutting of people's heads with his bare hands (what happened to the alien baby dr Lev was holding before he lost his head?).
I think it's a bit weird Doggett decides to call Mulder "Fox". At least he doesn't make Fox sound as annoying as Mulder. Unfortunately he switched back to Mulder rather quickly.
Judging by Mulder's reaction it's a good thing Scully only works on dead people. Although, this is the first time I've seen him complain.
Why does Scully refuse to tell who the baby's father is, especially after all the problems with the pregnancy?
Mulder finally admits Scully is more important than the X-files and wants to take her away to a safe place. Good thing Scully's apartment building has more than one exit.
I'm not quite clear on why Mulder suddenly trusts Krycek with Scully's life, but at least he got the job done.
Existence
Billy Miles who was crushed in a garbage truck doesn't seem to be all that dead after all.
Meanwhile, Reyes and Scully are on a roadtrip, with Scully once again sleeping. Wish I could sleep like that.
Reyes follows her "feelings" again and apparently the gum didn't work, though you can't really blame her for smoking considering she's being chased by supersoldiers and is about to deliver a baby in the middle of nowhere.
Knowle Rohrer tells Doggett the chip is what made Scully pregnant, that's the first thing I've heard on the X-files for a long time that actually makes some sense.
Skinman gets wacked on the head by a supersoldier. Even Krycek looked a bit upset when that arm went through the elevator door.
Reyes making things homey, she more than welcome to come by my place sometime.
Reyes impersonating a whale is hilarious (reminded me of Finding Nemo) and it reminded Scully of Melissa.
With a windscreen that dirty it's a surprise that ranger or whatever she was managed to stop in time without running over Reyes.
You know Reyes, telling a pregnant woman in the middle of nowhere you get the feeling something's off is not a very reassuring thing to say.
Considering the situation I thought it was a bit weird that Scully still calls her agent Reyes.
Why would there be a supersoldier posing as a ranger in the middle of nowhere? Either the world is overcrowded with supersoldiers or they have telepathic abilities, otherwise it just doesn't make any sense (even for the X-Files).
Agent Crane, Knowle Rohrer and Krycek are in it together. Krycek threatens to shoot Mulder again, you'd think by now he'd know better to just pull the trigger instead of babbling away.
At least Skinner got to have some fun with Krycek this way. Mulder actually looked a bit surprised that Skinner shot Krycek.
Must be slightly disturbing when you're about to have a baby and someone starts throwing boiling water at people. Why does the ranger say this baby will be born? That's the big idea isn't it?
Supersoldiers aren't superfriendly to eachother, the way Knowle ran over Crane.
The whole Mulder and Gunmen/3 wise men bearing gifts conversation got a bit annoying after the 5th time, after which I got pretty good at rewinding it right up to the moment where Mulder enters Scully's bedroom. Obsessed? Who? Me? Noooooo?
Still think they should've quit after that ending. Or just written season 9 without Mulder and Scully in it (I can't believe I actually wrote that). Seriously, they deserve to finally be happy and then 1013 ruins everything with supersoldiers and more human than human babies...
