X files movie marathon: not too bad

I remember feeling a bit cheated the first time I watched the 8th season of the X-Files, didn't think it was fair to give us only half a season of Mulder. Which greatly influenced how I looked at this season the first time I watched it. But now that I'm all grown up (cough), I actually can appreciate it. Sure I miss Mulder, but I never truly appreciated what a damn good actress Gillian Anderson is until now. Don't get me wrong, I always thought she was brilliant, I guess I was just way too distracted by Mulder-candy before (can you blame me?).

Within
Certain parts of the episode had an "All things" feel to it. I just love Mark Snow's music, I'll be calling it "sad Scully" music from now on (hmm, I think hours and hours of emotional Scully is starting to get to me).
Something I still don't understand about the basement office, why on earth does Scully, after 8 years, still refer to it as her partner's office? You'd think that after the big fire and Fowley and Spender moving in, there would be two desks there. Then again, those two didn't actually work so I guess they didn't really need a desk. At least there isn't a name sign on the door anymore.
What have we learned from Scully and Doggett's first meeting? If you're going to lie to Scully, don't give her water first. Although, I think that cup of water might have saved Doggett from a broken jaw or something...
Although I loved the scene where Scully tries to talk to her mother on the phone, I really wish we could've actually seen those two talk again.
When exactly did Scully move up a floor, wasn't she living on a groundfloor apartment when Duane Barry broke her window. Let's just assume she moved after shooting Pfaster. How she could possibly still feel safe in that apartment after everything that's happened there is beyond me.
Apparantly alien bounty hunters aren't very well informed on how human computers work, why else would he steal Mulder's monitor. Or maybe he crashed his UFO again and needed the monitor for spare parts...
Another great scene was where Doggett walks into Mulder's apartment finding Scully asleep holding Mulder's shirt. She must've really been out of it if she can't remember where Mulder keeps the fish food all of a sudden. It's not the first time she was there to "feed the fish".
This is the first time we see that Doggett isn't necessarily a bad guy, but just trying to do his job.
Kersh is back, he always reminds me of the pointy hair boss in the Dilbert comics, the evil manager from hell, determined not to solve any problems.
And what's with the Mulder manhunt, I thought the FBI would be glad to get rid of him. Especially after they complained about his expenses, now they're out looking for him with dozens of men and helicopters?
The only real problem I have with the storyline is Mulder's illness. I find it very hard to believe Scully wouldn't know about it, she is his doctor after all. You'd think that after Amor fati she would've ordered regular check-ups. And what's with the tombstone? Aranging your funeral beforehand so you're loved-ones won't have to go through it is one thing, putting the year of your death on a tombstone is something completely different. Also, I'm not too sure his parents would like to be burried together...
Really loved the whole Scully and Skinner against the FBI thingy as well. Skinner's always proven he's got a soft spot for Scully, even more so now she's all alone and pregnant.
Something I could've certainly done without is all the Mulder torture. I love naked Mulder as much as the next girl, but there's something about him propped on a weird alien chair being drilled, sliced and stretched that's a bit of a turn-off...
Why exactly did the writers think a school for the deaf in the middle of the Arizona desert made sense? Do they even have a regular school in such a small town?

Without
Why doesn't "Mulder" just take Gibson and let Doggett shoot him, it would hurt Doggett not him. At least Mulder's hair has grown back, and apart from his arm, he looks damn good for someone falling from that height, maybe he got lucky like Weems.
I just loved the scene where the bounty hunter turns into Scully; 2 Scully's and you don't want to mess with either of them. The end was brilliant as well with Scully looking in the mirror.
Why do people always leave their keys in the car and then look surprised when they're gone? Now that I think about it, that would surprise me too, why take the keys and not the car?
Scully points a gun at Skinner again, well I gues it has been a while since she's done that. And Skinner once again proves he can be trusted, turning his back on her. Pretty awkward situation after Skinner takes her gun though...again.
Hormones really must do weird things to a pregnant woman cause logical Scully flew out the window and now she's wondering around the desert in the middle of the night.
Of course Doggett ruined everything, Scully was so close to Mulder and then she has to leave to save Gibson.
After being thrown across the room Scully shoots the alien in the neck killing it (something an FBI sniper can't even do), and then realizes she just lost her last chance of finding Mulder. Again a very emotional Scully scene.
Kinda liked the end as well where Doggett visits Scully in the hospital. Though Scully has never looked as bad as she does here (I'm not counting the Fight Club debacle).
Kudos to the special effect department, I don't think we've ever been treated to such a good close-up of an alien dissolving.

Patience
Peronnaly, I think Mulder would've loved the whole "Batman" idea.
Scully is having trouble making the leaps Mulder made.
Just when I was wondering why Scully didn't whip out a huge flashlight out of one of her pockets (which never bulge by the way), Doggett asks if she's carries a flashlight.
His first real X-File and Doggett is already injured.
Scully promising Doggett to get him a desk and then she puts Mulder's name sign in the drawer. Pretty emotional for Scully.
In my opinion this was a very good episode; a real and interesting monster of the week X-file, we see Scully and Doggett's partnership take shape and Scully struggling with Mulder's absence. She even promises to get Doggett a desk and puts Mulder's nameplate in a drawer.

Doggett: "Think I've got another partial here. You know, there is a more obvious explanation."
Scully: "Mm-hmm."
Doggett: "A more basic answer, is what we're dealing with here is simply a man. A psychotic killer with a deformed foot. You're familiar with the principle of Occam's Razor?"
Scully: "Yeah. You take every possible explanation and you choose the simplest one. Agent Mulder used to refer to it as 'Occam's Principle of Limited Imagination'. Unless you have a simple explanation as to how a killer with a deformed foot leaves a print only every 25 feet."

Scully: "What happened to the lynch mob?"

Scully: "You know, we've been out here for nine hours. The only thing this man seems to be in danger of is terminal loneliness. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe this is all just a... a grand coincidence and we're wasting our time out here."
Doggett: "You were so sure before."
Scully: "Yeah, I was sure of the facts as I had deduced them scientifically. Maybe I'm... I'm trying to force them into shape. Maybe I'm manufacturing a theory."
Doggett: "Well, what happened to taking a leap?"
Scully: "Maybe I'm just trying too hard."
Doggett: "To do what? To be Mulder? You know, I'm not Oxford educated. About all I know about the paranormal is men are from Mars and women are from Venus. But I don't think you're wrong, Agent Scully."
Scully: "What makes you say that?"
Doggett: "Well, I'm no Fox Mulder, but I can tell when a man's hiding something. Myron Stefaniuk fishes a woman out of the river who's been gone for 40 years. He has a brother he hasn't seen in over 40 years. A brother who just happened to hunt down some kind of creature over 40 years ago."
Scully: "Well, what does he have to hide?"
Doggett: "Well, that's what I'm hoping this good cop work is going to show us."

Scully: "Do you believe it, Agent Doggett?"
Doggett: "Believe it?"
Scully: "That this thing is still out there and some day it's going to come after us?"
Doggett: "I'm pretty sure I hit it, Agent Scully. Pretty sure you hit it, too. The guys upstairs were making some noise about this case — about what's in our field report."
Scully: "Yeah. You'll get used to it. I, uh... I never had a desk in here, Agent Doggett, but I'll see that you get one."
Doggett: "All right."
Scully: "And I just want to say, um... thank you for watching my back."
Doggett: "Well, I never saw it as an option. I'm sure you don't either."

Roadrunners
Wow, that has to be a pretty busy bus route out there in the middle of nowhere in the dead of night for the bus to be completely full.
Darn, Scully finds white goo and Mulder isn't there to put his fingers in it.
Didn't Mulder once ask Scully to find a file giving her just one specific to go on? She looks really cute and uncomfortable asking Doggett the same thing over the phone.
When at a gas station and someone asks you your occupation, have them fuel up your car first. Trust no one Scully, especially not someone offering free fuel in the middle of nowhere when there's a fuel shortage.
Why doesn't Scully whip out her badge after she suspects they don't want her to leave? I'm sure they would be smart enough not to get an FBI agent involved in their freaky cult. At least she keeps her gun close at hand. Of course the very next day she gives her gun to a complete stranger...smart move Scully, very Mulderesque.
What's funny about this episode? Scully once again proves she's a navy brat with lots of swearing once she's been tied up. What would Mulder have thought of Scully tied to a bed like that? Oh and exactly how low on her lower back is Scully's tattoo? Or did the parasite choose her tattoo as the entry point?
Not that we didn't already know, but Scully sure is a tough little trooper, I'm pretty sure I would've passed out a long time ago if someone was cutting in the back of my neck to get a huge parasite out. This is the first time Doggett whips out a knife. Did Mulder ever carry around a knife?
Really liked the scene where Scully apoligizes for ditching Doggett. Never seen Mulder do that.

Doggett: "Well, if there's anything I can do from here."
Scully: "Well, actually, there might be, if you don't mind. Somewhere in our files... there is a, uh, an unsolved murder case. Unfortunately, I , uh, don't remember any of the particulars like where or when it took place, but I do remember that there were some glycoproteins found at the crime scene."
Doggett: "'Glycoproteins'."
Scully: "Yeah, mucous... But it was, uh, unable to be identified, and seeing as how you, uh, recently read through all of our files I thought maybe it would ring a bell with you."
Doggett: "Well, I don't have a great memory for mucous... but I'll be happy to look.

Scully: "Hey. Excuse me. You put something in my tank that killed my engine."
Gas Station Man: "What?"
Scully: "Where's that gas can? I'd like to see it, please." "That's water. I barely even smell any gasoline."
Gas Station Man: "Oh, God, you're right. I'm sorry. I... I left it out. It must have gotten rain in it."
Scully: "Oh, and it rains a lot here, does it? Seeing as how it's basically the desert."

Scully: "What did you put in me?! I'm going to get every last one of you bastards!"
Mr Milsap: "No. You'll love us. You'll protect us. You'll teach us, make us better than we are. We're taught not to envy, but I do envy you so. That you'll soon be one with him."
Scully: "Him?! That thing in my spine is a 'him'?!"

Scully: "Can you hot-wire it?"
Doggett: "Can I hot-wire it? Gone in 60 seconds, Jack. I'm going to strand these lunatics. Agent Scully... talk to me."
Scully: "You got to cut it out. Cut it out. Oh... Oh... Now it's going to come to my brain. Cut it out of me now!"

Scully: "They believe they worshipped Christ. That that thing was the second coming. Look, I, uh... I wanted to apologise. I left you out of this case, and that was a mistake on my part. It was almost a fatal mistake."
Doggett: "It was. You screwed up."
Scully: "And I won't do it again."
Doggett: "I appreciate it."

Invocation
Why does Scully get so upset about Doggett breaking the law? She and Mulder did it all the time, breaking into houses without a warrant, stealing evidence,...
Trying to stay open minded Scully calls in a psychic, I bet Mulder would have a field day.
Why didn't Scully know about Doggett's son, she checked out his file after they first met, you'd think it would mention something like that.
Nice casting. that kid is really creepy.

Scully: "Count to ten, Agent Doggett."

Doggett: "I don't believe it."
Scully: "Okay, the clothes, the age and condition of the bones, the location of the grave. There is no doubt that that is Billy Underwood's skeleton that is in that grave."
Doggett: "We spent time with this boy. Doctors took Billy's blood. You examined him yourself. Now, I can't accept it. I can't believe we're asking them to."
Scully: "I know, but the forensic evidence is going to come out, and what then? What if I'm right?"
Doggett: "Well, what then, Agent Scully? What we do? We move on, let it go, case closed?"
Scully: "Look, I know where you are with this. I have been there. I know what you're feeling — that you've failed and that you have to explain this somehow. And maybe you can."
Doggett: "Not if that's Billy's body, I can't."
Scully: "But maybe that's explanation enough. That that's not Billy's brother lying in that grave, too. That that man who did this is never going to be able to do it again. Isn't that what you wanted, Agent Doggett?"
Doggett: "Agent Scully, don't ask me to believe that this is some kind of justice from beyond the grave."
Scully: "All I'm saying is that maybe you succeeded... whether you're willing to see that or not."

Redrum
Reminded me of Monday with a twist.
The phrase "This is not happening" is once again used.
First no Mulder, and now hardly any Scully...The X-files is going downhill.

Via negativa
Doggett covered for Scully when Skinner asked him where she was and again during the meeting with Kersh.
Skinner giving an X-File explanation was quite funny.
Doggett dreaming he's holding Scully's severed head. That man has some twisted dreams, at least all Mulder dreamt about was his sister being abducted by aliens.
Doggett doesn't know the "I'm fine" line yet, though I'm sure he will soon enough.
Langley's flicking pencils at the ceiling in the basement office after Scully called the Gunmen in to help Doggett. He looks really scared when he's telling Skinner he's not sure he's awake. The whole thing reminded me a bit of the Twin Peaks dream scenes.

Scully: "An Agent is dead. Um, Skinner had him surveilling a religious cult in Pittsburgh. And all the followers are dead, as well."
Doggett: "What happened?"
Scully: "He's having difficulty determining that."
Doggett: "I'll pick you up."
Scully: "I'm sorry, Agent Doggett. I can't go."
Doggett: "Agent Scully?"
Scully: "Um, something unexpected has come up."
Doggett: "You all right?"
Scully: "Yeah, I'm, I'm fine."
Doggett: "Will I see you later?"
Scully: "Uh, as soon as I can."

Scully: "Skinner told me about the case. I know that you covered for me. You didn't have to do that."
Doggett: "It's all right."
Scully: "I appreciate your discretion."
Doggett: "Yeah, well, it's easy to be discreet when you don't know what's going on. Are you okay?"
Scully: "I'm fine. Skinner says that you're on the clock on this thing. You need to get your rest."
Doggett: "Yeah, I just grabbed a few winks."
Scully: "I asked him to contact some friends of Mulder's. I think they'll be able to help."
Doggett: "I appreciate all the help I can get."
Scully: "Doggett, you're a good agent. Trust your instincts."

Surekill
Dogggett mentions Elvis.
Scully 's quick to catch on when she's talking to Randall, looks like she's getting the hang of those Mulder leaps.
Doggett implies Peyton and Chase were having an affair because they called eachother a lot at night. Mulder called Scully all the time at night to talk about work...

Scully: "Unless he could see. The light our eyes can register is only one small portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. Other wavelengths from infra-red to gamma have other properties. X-rays, for instance, can pass through solid objects."
Doggett: "Walls, for example. So, you're saying this guy used some kind of x-ray machine. Wait, you're not saying this guy has x-ray vision?"
Scully: "I am remarking that these wavelengths exist and the only thing that is stopping us from seeing them, if you will, is the biochemical structure of our eyes. I am conjecturing that if this structure were somehow different we'd have the ability to see things that we don't."
Doggett: "Calling Clark Kent."

Doggett: "I hate twins. Twins never rat each other out."

Salvage
"ipso facto" sounded ridiculous coming from Doggett.
Wade Williams who plays Bellick in Prison Break takes on the role of "the man of steel" (who even eats tinfoil).
It's a bit like the Terminator. Doggett should know about that ;-)
Doggett whips out his knife again.
Do you think Ray could be the prototype of a supersoldier?
Why don't they use a huge magnet to stop him?

Badlaa
So before the Oompa Loompa started working in a chocolate factory they were beggars with supernatural powers who liked to travel for free.
You really cannot go to the toilet on the X-Files and expect to survive it.
The autopsy reminded me of the elephant autopsy in Fearful Symmetry.
Scully looks really reluctant to explain her theory to Doggett.
Chuck is back, with hippie hair.
So it takes a 5th and 6th grader to solve an X-Files these days?
In the end, after shooting who she thought was just a kid, Scully breakds down about not being able to think like Mulder.

Doggett: "You going to be okay, Agent Scully? I got a drift of what happened in there... to you. I mean, sort of."
Scully: "I shot a young boy."
Doggett: "The good news is, you're wrong."
Scully: "But it's what I saw. With my eyes, anyway. Do you know what it's like not to be able to trust your own eyes?"
Doggett: "Then why'd you shoot him?"
Scully: "Because it's what the boy saw. And in an instant I realised that it's what Mulder would have seen or understood. Because that's just how he came at things... without judgement and without prejudice and with an open mind that I am just not capable of."
Doggett: "It's been a long night. Give yourself a break. This whole thing doesn't make any sense."
Scully: "No... it did. In some way, it did."

The gift
I still don't believe Mulder was dying and didn't tell Scully about it. Not after everything they've been through. On top of that, it's obvious they were spending a lot more time together in the last episodes, you'd think Scully would know if he went "missing" every weekend. I mean, he never seemed to let a weekend go by without "harassing" Scully in her free time before, wouldn't Scully be suspicious if he stopped doing that all of a sudden?
Wow, so Doggett sees three plastered holes in the wall and automatically assumes they're from gunshots? I wonder what he would think happened in my house if he saw the way the walls are plastered here.
Doggett's feeding Mulder's fish again. Not quite sure why Scully wouldn't just move them over to her apartment...
So Mulder's gun is a Walther PPK, did he like to play James Bond? I'm having a hard time believing Mulder doesn't clean his gun regularly, especially after shooting it.
Funny scene where Skinner and Doggett wake up the gunmen to get help.
Why does every male FBI agent seem to have the tendency to touch unidentified goo with his bare hands? I thought it was just a Mulder trademark, but now I'm guessing it's an FBI guideline or something.
Doggett gets shot and burried, good thing he's not on an official case, wouldn't look good on his field report.

Medusa
Another member of the 24 cast; Penny Johnson.
I really liked this episode, despite chronic lack of Mulder.
Doggett telling Scully he's just a tagalong proves how valuable he thinks Scully is to an investigation.
If they think they have a contagion, why weren't they wearing bio hazard suits to begin with?
Bossy Scully is back and being accused of being irrational.
Scully is genuinely concerned about Doggett, I'm guessing partly because she send him out there on his own.
With all the running around and carrying Bianco, Doggett must've worked up quite a sweat and yet not a spark of him.
Poor Doggett, he doesn't have Scully waiting by his bedside like Mulder always had. Otherwise he probably wouldn't be so eager to get out of there.
I almost missed it, but the way he walked backwards away from Scully to get dressed was hilarious. Scully gets quite emotional again when she says they've got Doggett to thank. Mulder is in for a surprise when he gets back and finds Scully openly talking about feelings.

Doggett: "Nurse! Nurse!"
Scully: "Where do you think you're going?"
Doggett: "Find the nurse. She said she was going to talk to the doctor about me going home. I could be dying in here for all she knows."

Per manum
Sad Scully music again while Scully is checking the mirror to see if she's showing. I bet she's wishing Mulder was there with her.
So Doggett did read Scully's file, I was wondering about that.
Three cheers for the Mulder flashbacks. And such nice shippy flashbacks too :-)
Of course Scully's ova weren't viable Mulder, you walked around with them in your pocket for half a day. That look Scully gave Mulder when he tried to hold the elevator.
You know I frequently forget to push the button when I get into the elevator at work. Or I push the button of the floor I'm on. The way I sleepwalk through work I'm surprised they haven't fired me yet.
Zeus Genetics sure love Apple computers. They even decorated their entire office in the shiny white plastic look. Makes Scully really stand out all dressed in black.
See why I don't like going to the doctor? You never know what freaky creepy things they're up to.
Needless to say I love all the Mulder and Scully scenes. Though I would've really loved to have seen the conversation where Scully asks Mulder to be the father.
When Skinner is telling Doggett Scully is leaving she can't even look at Doggett. Kinda proves how much she respects Doggett I think.
So why did Knowle Rohrer sedate Scully?
Is it me or does Doggett look completely smitten with Scully when she wakes up in the hospital.
Just wondering why Mulder was waiting at Scully's apartment for her to get back, instead of joining her to the doctor. At least they're not in a hallway.
Now that I'm recovering from all the shippy scenes, I'm starting to wonder about the storyline in this episode; who's up to no good with alien embryos these days, considering the consortium and CSM are out of the picture?

This is not happening
Finally, the ultimate "this is not happening" episode. It goes without saying, but again great performance by Gillian Anderson.
So despite all the X-files knowledge, Lone Gunmen, FBI resources, ... they don't know where to look for Mulder, yet that kid Richie knows exactly where the spaceship was going to be.
Scully has another nightmare about Mulder and wakes up Skinner afraid they'll find Mulder dead. Which results in a very emotional conversation between Scully and Skinner about starlight. Looks like Scully fell asleep with all her clothes on again.
Monica Reyes is seriously confusing Scully, telling her to stay open minded.
The look on Reyes' face when her engine stalls and she sees the ufo is priceless.
Why do cops/FBI agents always yell at a suspect to stop when they're still too far away to reach the suspect, why not sneak up on them or follow them...
Scully is having a lot of trouble with the autopsy of Gary, even upsetting Skinner.
Scully has another vision of Mulder right before they find out where they might be keeping him.
Good call from Scully picking out Jeremiah Smith, did the Nikes give him away?
A first for the X-Files; Frantic Scully. This is the most desperate I've ever seen her. Doggett trying to shield her from Mulder's body was really touching as well. Although he's not very good at it, even being twice her size.
Once again great music from Mark Snow.
Gotta love that frantic "how bad is he" and heartwrenched "Noooooo" at the end.

Scully: "Hi."
Doggett: "Hi."
Scully: "You said on the phone you'd received something urgent."
Doggett: "You're right, I did. And I think it's really important you got right down here, Agent Scully. Thanks."
Scully: "You going to tell me what it is?"
Doggett: "I passed it on to AD Skinner. I'd like for him to tell you."

Doggett: "What we've got is hope. But let's be honest, Agent Scully, about what no one wants to say. Bad as you want to find Mulder, you're afraid to find him, too."

Scully: "What if he's dead? I'm sorry. I just had a bad dream."
Skinner: "Let me get some clothes on."
Scully: "I once had a talk with Mulder about starlight. How it's billions of years old. Stars that are now long dead whose light is still travelling through time. It won't die, that light. Maybe that's the only thing that never does. He said that's where souls reside. I hope he's right."
Skinner: "If you're trying to prepare yourself I want you to stop. Nothing says that we're going to stumble over him in some field. Nothing says he won't be fine."

Doggett: "What are you walking away for? It makes some kind of sense."
Scully: "I'm glad you agree with her, Agent Doggett, because I'm not even sure that she agrees with you. Nor has she made any sense for me of how the doctor who removed Teresa Hoese from the hospital last night seems, by all accounts, to have been in two places at once."
Doggett: "I know where you're going with this, Agent Scully, but if you're going to tell me this is another alien bounty hunter this is where we part company."
Scully: "Enjoy your new company."

Agent Reyes: "Right. Satanic ritual abuse. Or, I should say claims of it. We never found any hard evidence."
Scully: "We should talk sometime."

Skinner: "Dana..."
Scully: "I'm okay. There's work to do here."

Scully: "Where is he?"
Doggett: "Agent Scully, he's over there."
Scully: "How bad is he? How bad is he? How bad is he hurt? "No. No. No. No. He needs help."
Doggett: "It's too late."
Scully: "He needs help!"
Doggett: "Agent Scully."

Scully: "Jeremiah. No... no. This is not happening! No!"

Deadalive
Was Bill Scully jr. not invited to the Mulder's funeral? Maybe they were afraid he'd dance on Mulder's grave or something. Skinner says he doesn't believe Mulder's the last, I'm assuming Scully told her about her and Mulder then?
Talk about spooky; Kersh is smiling. Doggett is taken of the X-files, but he says he has to think about it because Scully goes on maternity leave in 6 weeks.
Billy Miles' body is found floating in the sea (that's why I don't like to eat fish, they throw anything in the sea).
Mulder looks pretty good for someone's who's been dead and burried for 3 months.
By now Scully has perfected that incredibly desperate look and voice. And Doggett's protectiveness of Scully is starting to get on my nerves.
Scully while talking to the nurse slips up and says that Mulder was, is her partner. Can't blame a girl for being confused.
Skinner's having trouble with his nanobugs again, which means Krycek 's back.
The make-up artists sure had their work cut out for them with Billy Miles.
Scully was actually speechless when Doggett questioned her beliefs, how many times has that happened in 8 years.
And why didn't Scully call Skinner? Not really fair after everything that he did for them.
There's quite a spectacular chase when Doggett goes after Krycek. Surely they could've sucked up some of the vaccine with a syringe?
In the end Skinner saved the day trying to kill Mulder.
Doggett looks a bit beaten up when he's called into Kersh's office. He should've listened to Scully and got out of the X-files when he had a chance.
So how much time has passed until Mulder wakes up?
I'm really hoping Mulder wouldn't have made the "who are you" joke if he had known what Scully had gone through, cause she looked as though she was about to have a heartattack. Is that his panic face after Scully asks him whether he knows what he's been through?
I have to admit his voice sounds really strong after being dead for 3 months.
Felt a bit sad for Doggett at the end.

Scully: "He was the last. His father and mother... his sister... all gone. I think the real tragedy... is that for all of his pain and searching... the truth that he worked so hard to find was never truly revealed to him. I can't truly believe that I'm really standing here."
Skinner: "I know. And I don't truly believe that... Mulder's the last."

Doggett: "Hey, good morning, Agent Scully. How you feeling today?"
Scully: "I'm fine. How are you feeling?"
Doggett: "Me? Good. But then I don't got a little J Edgar to lug around."
Scully: "AD Skinner just called. He told me about your meeting with Kersh."
Doggett: "Well, whatever he told you I'm still going to be here to drive you crazy with questions and nagging doubt."
Scully: "You'd be crazy to stay, Agent Doggett. This is a huge career opportunity for you."
Doggett: "It's not my career he's got in mind."
Scully: "What do you mean?"
Doggett: "In six weeks, you go on maternity leave. Kersh transfers me out, guess what? He gets to lock that door over there for good."
Scully: "You don't owe me anything, Agent Doggett."
Doggett: "They put me down here to find Mulder. I found him. So what? We still got an open file on this case and I got big questions. What?"
Scully: "I heard the same speech come out of my mouth seven years ago. Get out while you can, Agent Doggett... or you may never get out at all."

Scully: "Is it true?"
Skinner: "Slow down."
Scully: "No. I want to see him."
Skinner: "I know you do..."
Scully: "No, I need to see him, damn it!"
Skinner: "You're not going in there. Scully, you can't."
Scully: "Tell me it's true. Tell me."

Scully: "What did they say? I need to see him."
Doggett: "I know... but I wish you wouldn't."

Nurse: "Who are you, and what are you doing?"
Scully: "Nothing. I was just looking in on the patient and he started to go into grand mal seizure. I think he's all right now. It's okay. I'm sorry... I'm a doctor. My name is Scully, and I'm with the FBI."
Nurse: "You're here to treat him?"
Scully: "No. No, I... the man down the hall was my... is my partner and we knew Billy and I guess I was just hoping that there might be some indication that he was getting better... somehow.

Doggett: "You can't do this to yourself."
Scully: "You asked me not to come in here, Agent Doggett. I hope you're not asking me to leave."
Doggett: "Concern's for your well being, Agent Scully. That's all it's ever for. I felt this was a bad idea from the start. I told the Assistant Director so. Worrying about the effect it might have on you."
Scully: "You mean finding Mulder alive?"
Doggett: "I know you came in here with the doctors. I'm sure you must have asked them what his chances are. "
Scully: "Agent Doggett... However I felt about you when we first met, you changed my opinion, with the quality of your character and of your work. Now, I am thankful to know you and I am thankful for your concern... But no matter what Mulder's chances are, the choice not to open up that grave was wrong. And not because of me personally, but as my partner on the X-Files. Now, the truth may hurt but it's all that matters."

Skinner: "What are the chances this could be due to an alien influence? Could it be a virus?"
Scully: "Why are you asking me this? Sir, if you know something... look, we're working against the clock here. This, this could happen to Mulder. And until we know what it is we have to do everything to control it."
Skinner: "There may be a vaccine."
Scully: "Where?"
Skinner: "It doesn't come without a price."
Scully: "This is about saving a man's life."
Skinner: "Yes. It is."

Scully: "Mulder... Hi."
Mulder: "Who are you?"
Scully: "Oh, my god. Don't do that to me. Do you know...? Do you have any idea what you've been through?"
Mulder: "Only what I see in your face. Anybody miss me?"

Three words
Would you really get that far without being shot if you climbed over the gates of the White House?
Mulder is having flashbacks, but at least he's in perfect health. Doesn't look to happy though.
So did Scully keep paying for his apartment because she didn't have any room for his fish tank at her place? Mulder gave his fish names? How...normal...
And what happened to his black leather jacket, looked better than the brown one.
Good thing Mulder says he's happy for Scully, cause he sure could've fooled me.
I'm by no means a fashion guru, but what the hell were they wearing when they got to his apartment and what happened to Mulder's black leather jacket? Looks like Scully has a panic face as well, after Mulder tells her he's having trouble processing everything.
Meanwhile Doggett looks as though he'd like to shoot Kersh.
Never noticed this before, but apparently Mulder has a bicycle hanging on his wall/ceiling.
Why was that train blowing its horn long before Absolom even got close to it?
Apples are all the rage this season on the X-Files; Doggett 's got an iMac.
Mulder seems to be reconnecting with his jerk-side again as he basically tells Scully she can't run the X-Files.
Mulder almost looks happier to meet the gunmen than Scully. Why exactly didn't they visit him in hospital, I'm assuming if you wake up after being burried for 3 months they keep you in there for over a day.
Mulder looks surprised that the Gunmen have questions concerning Scully's pregnancy.
Where was Scully going with the cab and why was Mulder still at her place?
Doggett runs out to find Mulder despite the fact that he attacked him in Skinner's office. Why do all these paranoid FBI agents leave their home with someone else still there? They really have given up on home security on the X-Files.
