X files movie marathon: skipped a day

I skipped a day as I only saw half an episode, but now I'm back on track with my X files movie marathon. Lots of great episodes...

Paper hearts
Mulder has some sort of telepathic connection with a serial killer he put in jail years ago.
I still don't understand why they changed his sister's abduction story. It all nearly ends as another Mulder guilt trip. Very nice ending for us X files shippers :-)

El mundo gira
El chupacabra!!! Another monster of the week episode. Poor goats...

Scully: "Did he tell you what happened?"
Mulder: "A flash of light, yellow rain, Maria! MARIA!" (the look on Scully's face :-)

Mulder: "Scully, I've been thinking. I know that's dangerous, but just bear with me. "

Leonard Betts
What I find kinda strange about Leonard Betts is that his body grew a new head, for some reason a head growing a new body makes more sense to me...you know, in a warped X files universe kinda way. One of the most memorable parts in this episode is when Scully is up to her shoulders squishing away in surgical waste and suggests Mulder should dig in as well cause he has longer arms. The look on his face :-)
I'm sort of wondering why Scully didn't tell Mulder what happened in the ambulance with Betts. Maybe she wanted to find out the facts first, before trusting a cancer-eating mutant. I guess the nosebleed was a pretty clear sign.

Mulder: "Blinked or winked?"

Leonard Betts: "I'm sorry... But, you have something I need."

Never again
Scully turns rebellious, ending up with a tattoo and nearly getting herself killed. It's the famous "why don't I have a desk episode" (shipper-famous that is). A lot of tension between Moose & Squirrel, heavy conversations. Mulder's being a bit of a jerk, I mean when Scully is opening up about her feelings he just suggest it's good to get away from eachother for a while and walks off. Good move Mulder...
Jodie Foster's really great as the psychotic talking tattoo.
I can't help but wonder what Mulder was going to say at the end, I'll go read some more fanfic to ease my mind.

Scully: "I'm not going."
Mulder: "What do you mean?"
Scully: "Your contact, while interesting in the context of science fiction was... at least in my memory, recounting a poorly veiled synopsis of an episode of Rocky and Bullwinkle."
Mulder: "Eenie Weenie Chilli Beanie, the spirits are about to speak?"
Scully: "Rocky and Bullwinkle are looking for an Upsidasian mine. Boris Badenov alters the road signs, which causes them to walk onto a secret military base, where they are picked up by a car — with no windows and no door locks — and there are silent explosions from a compound called Hush-a-boom."
Mulder: "So you're refusing an assignment based on the adventures of..." [Boris Badenov voice] "Moose and Skweereel."
Scully: "Refusing an assignment? That makes it sound like you're my superior."
Mulder: "Do what you want. Don't go to Philadelphia. But let me remind you that I worked my arse off to get these files reopened. You were just assigned, this work is my life."
Scully: "And its become mine."
Mulder: "You don't want it to be?"
Scully: "This isn't about you, or maybe it is indirectly, I don't know."

Scully: "Look, Mulder, I have to go."
Mulder: "What" You got a date or something? You... you're kidding?"

Scully:
"Ed, I... don't go out very much. I think the last time I went out on a date was to see 'Glengary Glen Ross'. And the characters in the movie had a much better time."

Mulder: "And congratulations for making a personal appearance in the X-Files for the second time. A world record."

Mulder: "All this because I... because I didn't get you a desk?"
Scully: "Not everything is about you, Mulder. This is my life."
Mulder: "Yes, but it's m..."

Memento Mori
Another one of my favourite X files episodes. Here's an outtake from Memento Mori on YouTube.
Scully gets another nosebleed, this time on the job. Lots of "I'm fine"s. Lots of angst. Skinner once again proves his loyalty to Mulder and Scully trying to make a deal with the Smoking man.
Mulder finds Scully's ova (looks like we'll be getting Uber-Scullys after all) and apparently walks around with them in his pocket for half an episode.
I'm also starting to see a hallway-scene pattern in the X files, personnaly I prefer to keep emotional conversations behind locked doors.
Oh, and the Lone Gunmen pulled a "Mulder panic-face" when he suggested they pick out something black and sexy.

Mulder: "Is it operable?"
Scully: "No."
Mulder: "But it's treatable?"
Scully: "The truth is that the type and placement of the tumour make it difficult... to the extreme."
Mulder: "I refuse to believe that."
Scully: "For all the times that I have said that to you I am as certain about this as you have ever been."

Mulder: "The truth will save you, Scully... I think it will save both of us."
