Last night I actually started watching the 3rd dvd from the 2nd X files season. I'm finally making up for those days I only watched one episode. Although I have to admit I fell asleep halfway through Firewalker.
Ascension and One breath were better than I had remembered. So much Angst, and Mulder looked so sad and angry all the time.
A lot of very memorable scenes in these episodes. Krycek and the Smoking man showing their real faces. Frohike in a suit and bowtie visiting Scully in the hospital :) Mulder putting a gun to the Smoking man's head and NOT pulling the trigger. Skinner putting a "thank you for not smoking" sign on his desk.
I certainly hope the new X files movie can tap into that mood even if it's not about the mythology.
