Feeling ill really speeds up my X files movie marathon, didn't feel like doing a lot except vegging out in front of the TV. Here are the episodes I watched yesterday: Avatar, Quagmire, Wetwired, Talitha Cumi, Herrenvolk, Home and Teliko.
The situation Skinner got himself into in Avatar, would be something more likely to happen to Mulder in my opinion. Mulder and Scully find out more about their boss than I would like to know about mine.
Quagmire is the end of cute little Queequeg's life. I'm getting a strong impression Mulder's not to keen on pets, lets face it, even his fish have a very short shelf-life. Really like this episode, apart from Queequeg's early demise (did I mention I'm a dogperson?), mostly because of the conversation Mulder and Scully have when their boat sinks.
Wetwired features Scully in full paranoid mode, nearly shooting Mulder...again...
It is mentioned here that Mulder is red-green colour blind, so for all he knows Scully could have green hair...
Talitha Cumi introduces Jeremiah Smith, who will be back later on in the series. Not only can he shift shape and heal wounds, he can also remove blood stains from clothes.
It's the last episode of the x files season 3, so it's another 2-part mytharc episode. It's implied that Mulder's mother and the Cancerman had an affair, after which Mulder's mother has a stroke (who wouldn't after an affair with good old Smokey). Mulder then does some redecorating in his parents' summer house and finds a ...'swish-stick', you know, that high-tech ice-pick the bounty hunter has been running around with that makes the 'swishing' sound...
In Herrenvolk Mulder ditches Scully again, unfortunately for her, Mulder's not as good with an alien ice-pick as with a gun. So she's stuck with the alien bounty hunter. Jeremiah Smith shows Mulder a colony of clones of his sister. I bet if Mulder had informed the authorities of child labour instead of an alien colony they would've acted faster. The Smoking Man ends up saving Mulder's mother. And Marita Covarrubias is introduced as a new source for Mulder.
Home is another one of my favourite episodes. The whole thing is really rather disgusting, but there are some great scenes in there. Who the bleep puts a baby corpse in the fridge next to his lunch...
And was Mulder offering his superior genes to create little Uber-Scullys? Or is that my imagination gone wild again...
Check out a great deleted scene on YouTube, it's a shame they cut it out, but considering what they were about to do I suppose it wasn't all that appropriate...
All I can really say about Telinko is Mulder and Scully are having a great hair day ;-)
